How to join BAISIS
Membership of BAISIS is open to organisations which are inspected and accredited by one or more of the following bodies:
- Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI)
- Council of International Schools (CIS)
- British Council (BC) as an International Study Centre
Where such accreditation does not exist, prospective members may apply for inspection by BAISIS or supply evidence of inspection by other bodies which will be considered by the Committee.
Applications for membership should be addressed to the Chairman. Applications are considered by the BAISIS Executive Committee and are welcomed throughout the year. For further information concerning membership, please contact the Executive Officer by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
BAISIS Ltd holds the work email addresses of key personnel in its members. This information is kept in order to maintain membership and to administer activities for the benefit of members. This information is retained only while an organisation is a member of BAISIS. The BAISIS Executive Officer is responsible for the secure storage and remote back up of personal information. It is BAISIS Ltd’s policy not to store / transfer personal information on USB sticks. BAISIS Ltd shares personal information with its members, partner organisations and supporting members in order to develop networking opportunities, which is a key activity of the organisation. This information is shared through group email communications, the members’ area of the BAISIS website (which is password protected) and the list of delegates to the BAISIS conference. From time to time BAISIS Ltd receives requests from third party organisations within the international education sector for the contact details of its members. Members’ permission is sought on each occasion before this information is shared with any third party. BAISIS Ltd never sells personal information to third parties.
