The next BAISIS conference will be held on Friday 09 March 2018 at Jury’s Inn, Birmingham, B1 2HQ.  The conference seeks to build on last year’s recording-breaking event which was attended by 99 delegates, exhibitors and speakers.

Giving this year’s opening plenary address (sponsored by Password English Language Testing Ltd) will be Dr Helen Wright, an internationally recognised educator and educational advisor.  Following a successful career as Head of St Mary’s Calne and Ascham School Sydney, Dr Wright is now deeply involved in developing international schools across the globe.  Her talk entitled “How schools with international students can lead the way in global and social mobility for all” will explore ways of helping young people develop socially engaged attitudes which will lead them to be the creators of social opportunity for their peers. It promises to stimulate ideas and discussion among all those with responsibility for young people’s futures.

For our second plenary session (sponsored by Bright World Education & Guardianship Ltd) we are delighted to welcome back Natasha Devon, writer, social critic and Director of the Self Esteem Team which advises young people, their teachers and parents on strategies to support children’s mental well-being.
